Though currency has become obsolete within Kurtow, few items are now more sought-after than food. Canned goods specifically, including fruits, vegetables, soups, and meats are a valuable commodity in the ruins due to their long-lasting shelf life. Undamaged cans can last decades beyond their original “use by” dates, exlcuding those that are rusted, severely dented, or bulging/swelling, which can be potentially dangerous to consume.
