We’ve reached the end of GunRiot!

I want to thank everyone for reading the comic, for commenting on the pages, and I especially want to thank Kuraikabe1990 for all of the time, effort, and dedication he devoted to this project. It was a pleasure working with him and GunRiot was an absolute blast to make.

Since GunRiot ended last month, I’ve received a number of emails and messages asking about the comic and if there will be more pages or chapters. Early on, the comic was only planned to be a 50+ page one-shot that would run for about a year but, fortunately, it lasted two years, totaled a whopping 131 pages, and we managed to never miss a weekly update. After growing attached to Kyrie, Wini, and Rayet, I had plans for more storylines and chapters but, sadly, much like with The White Wraith and Sailor Justice, it’s simply not financially feasible to continue the project at this time.

Within the last few months, both the Danger Zone One and GunRiot websites have been receiving record amounts of traffic and the readership numbers are higher than ever. However, over those same months, we’ve also fallen short of our Patreon goal, which makes continuing GunRiot an impossibility—at least at this point. I also had two new comics in production, but the recent drop in Patreon resulted in one being cancelled and the other being postponed.

I’ve received questions asking about the possibility of a GunRiot print edition and that’s definitely on the table, but I can’t give an exact date on when that might happen. After the Danger Zone One Volume 3 print edition is finished and released, a physical GunRiot edition will be the very next priority.

Thank you again for reading GunRiot—I hope you enjoyed the comic as much as we enjoyed making it. Hopefully we’ll get to return to the Kurtow ruins for more of Kyrie’s adventures in the future.
