OK, if those are office buildings and hotels WAY down there, just how high is this peak?! At least 10,000 feet by my estimate. Might need to take oxygen with her on this climb. (Pilots are required to use oxygen masks over 10K unless they have a pressurized cabin.)
Yeah, there seems to be a lot of misinformation going on with this story. The premise is good idea, but the reality in which it takes place is confusing. It’s like it hasn’t found its foothold yet and that’s something that should’ve happened right from the get-go. A lot of the evidence from the previous pages has left me scratching my head.
As part of my High Altitude Indoctrination course for military flights, we were taught that you can remain conscious well above 10,000 feet, many people, Andean natives for example, do it every day. Cabin pressure is maintained at 10,000 feet equivalent to give an added margin of safety and avoid other problems, it’s just a number that was rounded off to a convenient point on a dial and everyone responds differently to low oxygen concentrations or pressure.
Yes yes, I know. I’ve gone skiing at elevations above 10K without wearing an oxygen mask and didn’t suffer any ill effects. It was just a bit of trivia I threw in.
In any event,lLooking at those buildings and the size of the Aircraft it’s relatively easy to determine that we have absolutely no idea what altitude they’re at and if those are buildings, either they’re really small or that plane can carry at least a dozen highrises and is too big to fly. Perspective tricks the eye 😉
ONWARD, INTO NEW TERRITORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Mark G
This is what the written entries are for. They provide details on Kurtow, locations, etc. It’s all there.
That’s not quite what I was referring to.
I don’t really mind it. I like it.
