During combat testing in wet environments we’re finding significant leakage points in the D-X044’s armor. With the vehicle going into mass-production next month, it’s improbable this will be an issue we can fix. I understand we were required to use Raktos-12 armor, but that’s always been notoriously difficult to waterproof. Hopefully the first production run is shipped to dry climates. Had the early proposal to make the D-X044 amphibious been approved, we’d never have reached our production deadline.

I always enjoy the world-building and lore in each of these written entries. I feel like not enough people talk about that. I’ve seen a few other webcomics try it, but none so well and thought out.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, YEAH! You know they dead!
Missed it by that much.

You’re on your own, have a nice day…
Maybe they included a liferaft as part of the onboard equipment ? of course that would require this pair to have actually looked at anything besides the guns, let alone read the operating manuals.
What makes you think this pair of dufuses can read?
The manufacturers took that into account.
All tech manuals are on a speak-and-spell 🙂
and after a great many years of working on A/C, I firmly believe the aircrew’s AOI’s should have been too…
